You will notice a new icon in the header strip of topics and replies that looks like this /tyco/forum/uploaded/New_York_Central/icon_linkto.gif
Clicking on that icon will pop up a window which will allow you to easily copy the correct url which will take you to that topic or directly to any rep within a give topic.
For instance, the following link was created which will take you midway in a topic to the reply (post) I want you to see.

PS - I have noticed that when a new browser window launches to open a REPLY post it may not line up pefectly if the browser is not maximized. The post intended with the above link is the one from MM 1498 with the Adams Family Layout. If you were to maximize the browser that gets launched and refresh it would align perfectly. Confused? 
Update - Nothing I can do about it being perfectly aligned when there is image resizing going on. I've noticed it works perfectly when the topic does not contain resized images, the resizing causes it to jump around a bit before settling in. Close enough.
The following is a link to a reply within a topic which contains no pictures at all and you'll see it lines up quite well. You should end up at a post by ChrisC.
