Ken, They of the latest Stewart products? I ask as Stewart has been bought out by Bowser and is now the Bowser highest quality product that they offer for sale....
I don't believe ANY Stewart locomotives were ever Kato powered!
As I have a few older Stewart AS-16's, that have Athearn type drives with equally Athearn type motors and flywheels, only the drive shaft work is different then that of Athearn designs.

Ken, Thats sure news on me! I have never even seen the Kato powered stuff, not even when it was new, all I have ever seen was the older Athearn powered stuff, and the newer line from Bowser......
Very good to know tho! it must not have either sold much, or wasn't made for very long. As I recall seeing ALOT of stuff from Con-Cor that was Kato powered and there is alot of out there too.....
So with that said, look at the bottom of the fuel tanks, normal Kato powered items have "Kato" and there emblem stamped in the fuel tank! Or atleast thats what I have seen in the past......
