I decided that a facebook page and a youtube account wasn't enough to update and talk about my layout So I created a free website to talk about all the locomotives, projects, and the future plans for my layout. the website is SCVR.weebly.com Please check it out and let me know what you think! I've only done the homepage with a HUGE history on my fictional SCVR so i encourage you to take a bit of time and read how the name SCVR became and how all the engines ended up here. I don't talk about the 80 other engines that are part of my main fleet cause they aren't part of the SCVR. I have a lot of pages to create but since i'm on summer vacation I've got time to finish the site.

Youtube, Twitter & Facebook will soon merge, into one company. The new name will then become, "You Twit Face"....

Very nice work Hyde. I always wondered what SCVR stood for and know I know. I had a few projects out there with William S Hart USD and College of the Canyons so I am very familiar with the area.

I just checked it out. Love your engine history. I just wish that i would have done that with all 140 of my engines. It gives them so much character. To think you are only getting started....

That's very interesting. You pack alot into a small layout. I'd like to have a website for my kitbashing projects. Might be entertaining and educational to other modelers. How does Weebly work? It's free. What's the catch? Does someone call you every 2 or 3 days trying to sell an upgrade? That happened to me, years ago, when I had a yahoo .com webpage.
Unspoken expectations are premeditated failures.

They don't call you or email you nothing. It's easy and I can't believe all the things I can put on my pages. It's so easy!

Nice site, and an interesting roster history. I like your incomplete locos sitting on cribbing outside the engine facility. Btw, which Bachmann loco is that boiler weight with the smoke unit from?
One suggestion I'll make is to break the home page introduction into paragraphs. I didn't read it because it's hard on the eyes.

I guess it's the 0-6-0 weight with motor, PCB, and smoke unit. This is the picture I was talking about.

yep i was right that's my bachmann SP 0-6-0 #1277 recieving major rod work. I completed cleaning up the tender, inspected and cleaned the drive wheels, reinstalled the drive wheels and main rods then put them back under the frame, tested the motor, got it warmed up. now i straightened the right side valve gear and its reinstalled now. i need to find her missing crankpin so that i can finish the left side. Her smokebox was also incredibly rusted out so i cleaned the boiler and gave the boiler a new smokebox platform that will be installed once running gear repairs are complete.
