Back in 1986 - I had purchased 2 Greenville 100 ton coal hoppers from McKean - Got home and found missing parts and damage to under frames. Remember - In this period of time - there was no world wide web - but there were pens n paper. So i sat down and wrote them a letter and mailed it to them explaining my problem. They took care of it and me and here is the proof . The response i received back from them on the letter below - Companies like this who take care of their customers always trump over the ones who don't. Kudos to McKean Models - I was 14 in 1986 - Note = The letter was done on an Electric type writer

Sadly busss, no McKean doesn't exist anymore they went out of business back in I think the early 1990's!

I however got a few of there centerbeam flat cars......nicely detailed, but requires ALOT of patients! As they were a "kit" maker.

I'll post pictures as I get to them!
