Sparking this week's lead-off LOTW is a miniature electric doodlebug, pantograph-equipped, and N gauge to boot. Made in Japan by Sekisui Kinzoku , No. 301, this little BN gem may get some action on my test loop soon. Guy said he wasn't sure it ran smoothly, thought it was a bit erratic, so he sold it to me for $25. I saved some green on some green! It can always be a background showpiece even if it doesn't run. Has a split frame, looks pretty nice.

looks kinda like my mantua SP booster I have 3 locos this week
here's my new spectrum 2-10-2 that bachmann sent me for my UP 4-8-2, I love this engine its tender light is amazing
here's my new southern 4-4-0 that replaced my older 4-4-0 when i sent it to bachmann personally i like the older version better cause you could modify it heavily with this version you can only modify the domes and the smokestack
my last loco is an Atlas rio grande Gp40, i got it at the santa clara train shop while on vacation up north for only $30!! They had a great used section I got 2 brand new spectrum steamers for the $50 service charge!! what a deal!

Very nice Rio Grande. One of my favorite railroads. BTW, Did you see the mantua GN that they have at the roundhouse? Was that the one you mentioned ran sluggish?

My LOTW and a $15 buy, a Tyco Brunswick green or black GG-1. New in box almost and ran like a dream! Ben, I like those Athearns and thats a good price for that Dash-9. Is that CN unit a bluebox era kit or a RTR?!

Forget about that W&A in the back!

| Beautiful Frisco loco, Ken--one of my favorite roads--I grew up with that railroad, even got some cab rides (in diesels, of course!). My latest purchase is a Bachmann 4-4-0 similar to the example above in this thread, but mine was lettered for Maryland and Pennsylvania. I removed the lettering and relettered for Southern Pacific. It is DCC, but I don't run that. All you have to do though is put a couple of "dummy plugs" (supplied) in the decoder, and you are ready to go. It will also produce sound on limited basis with regular dc power.

Here's my recent purchase. A Bachman DCC Sound 4-4-0. It came lettered for the Ma and Pa, but I changed it to SP (sorry Ken! I know you collect Ma and Pa--I can obtain another if you are ever interested). Very highly-detailed, and best of all to me is the all-metal boiler and cab.

the circuit of the dcc heritage frisci 0-6-0 loco posted above,no place for a jumper, according to the dh121 instructions you need a dcc controller to change address to re open the dc function ken
