This week I am on spring break, not that the wife didn't figure out a few "chores" that it would "be nice" to accomplish while I "had nothing to do"... .
At any rate, I was originally thinking that I would tear into all those workbench projects I have begun already, so as to have some things done before I return to work next Monday.
Weeeeelllllll, that WAS my original plan, but I have felt the inertia of relaxation pulling me back onto the couch this week, despite those "chores" with respect to railroading. This is compounded by the prospect of a fun Saturday morning coming up this next weekend at a local model railroad flea market and show, for which I already put together a shopping list.
Maybe it's the nice weather, but then, this IS Florida, so that can't be it. Maybe it's the fact that I have several competing workbench projects of equal "importance" and lack a reason to prioritize them. Or maybe, I am actually relaxing and that is all there is to it.
This "inertia" force is quite powerful- maybe I should patent it and see if the Feds want to give me some of that green energy money to start up a new company.
But, no, I just don't feel like it.....

For the next couple of days, I'm on "me" break, I want to get stuff done in my driveway I've been putting off, got some fun projects to work on, clean-up, etc. I don't have time for inertia, I've been getting spring fever along with the cats, itching to get outside and DO something. While I do it slower now at 52, and my joints ache much more and for longer, I still am feeling motivated now to just "git'er done". Hope my Geritol doesn't wear off quick....

"A bad day's fishing is better than a good day's work...?
I guess it's all in the perspective on what you call relaxing.
Rule #1: No "Should" list. Rule #2: Only "Could" list.
And, money... Rule #3: I "Would" list.
Keep it simple. You'll be happy.... happier, rather.

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?
