Hi Gareth ,Kenny. Nice photo. I wish these corporate railroads would do more of that and paint some other locomotives in the colors of the railroads they have made fallen flags. It seems they have forgotten there history. If they want to see just how much good publicity they could get from this. They should take these repainted locomotives and publish where, and when they would be running. Railfans would stake out favorite photo taking sites. Then lay in wait for the train. Metro North use to do this but didn't say what train ran where and when. When I went hiking north of Cold Springs, at Hudson Highland State Park, and drag myself up Breakneck Ridge you would when resting on a high point, sit and watch the trains below as they went by. I never knew a schedule so only got to watch them from a distance. It was still nice. I have seen the New York Central painted FL9 and the AEM 102s in New Haven Mc Ginnis colors blowing by at high speeds. There were others but I have forgotten them. * I can think of a nicer way to spend the day then to have eggs, or pancakes in the morning for breakfast at Cold Springs, then go to Breakneck Ridge and climb up to a high spot and watch the trains from above. After that go down and find a nice spot to photograph them from still up on the hill side but close to the tracks. After that go and wonder around through the Antiques stores at Cold Springs, not to buy anything, just to be noisy and see what they got and how high a price is on it. Then talk alot about it. Who knows maybe get something. Just to show you what you see there. A view from Breakneck Ridge. frank
