I just found something I can't live without! Its a repower kit for a Bachmann pancake monster J Class 4-8-4 from Bowser. For $30 and its still in its box and all, I guess its a good deal! Just gotta find a Kader Cake J class now! Anybody ever use this kit? Looks as if the only Bachmann parts used are the boiler, side rods and steam chest.

These are terrific repower options for the old Bachmann engines. IIRC Bowser did the repower kits for the Santa Fe Northern, the N&W Class J and the Reading I10sa 2-8-0. Basically they consist of a new frame with off-the-0shelf Bowser driveline parts.
