Anybody here use the A-Line repower kit? I wanna repower a SW-7 and have thoughts about it. Can the old U-Joints still be used?

I would think the old u-joints would be just fine as long as the new motor from A-line has the same shaft diameter. The A-line catalog says their Mashima (excellent motor) motor has 2mm shafts. Aren't the older Athearn motor shafts larger than 2mm?
