Hey guys, wanted to share these....

quote:
NORFOLK SOUTHERN will be painting 18 Heritage units (EMD SD70ACe's and new GE's) in accurate fallen Flag liveries! The 18 predecessor railroads selected for heritage paint will be: Central of Georgia, Conrail, Erie, Erie Lackawanna, Lehigh Valley, New Haven, New York Central, Nickel Plate Road, Norfolk & Western, Penn Central, Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh & West Virginia, Reading, Savannah & Atlanta, Southern Tennessee Alabama & Georgia, Virginian and the Wabash.

Should make for some handsome units!

Wow, if its all true then this is EPIC. Looking forward to seeing the NYC & PRR units. I'm impressed they are even doing the P&WV along with both Erie and EL units!

Great work there L'il Canadian Buddy. I will look forward to seeing these units and the models from manufacturers and modelers that follow.
I have enjoyed the UP "Heritage"schemes and the ones from Lionel for example theWM that only exists on the O scale model.

I hope so.Its exciting and maybe CSX will do it next. What about a BNSF unit?I guess they saw how MTH, Lionel, and Athearn are making there own "heritage" series with SD70ACe's.

It would be kinda cool, too, if they had portraits of the rail barons who got the railroads fired up.

However, if only other roads would do the same, besides BNSF mixing ATSF with GN...
CB&Q, NP, GN, FRISCO, SP&S,

Hard to think of Conrail and Burlington Northern as "Fallen Flag" railroads.

CSX... NS... BRING THEM ON!!!

By the way, speaking of BNSF, on my FaceBook, I befriended "Friends of BNSF" and got an awesome BNSF calendar for free...
Is there any other media of this type that does the same?

John

p.s. New Haven in the Red/White/Black scheme? NH

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out.
"I love your catenary!"
Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?
