Just bought this 2-6-2 today and curious to how old it is and what years it was offered:

Just looked at the Mantua Resource page and saw it in the 1978 Catalog. Must be a rarer one. I always see the Pennsy and Santa Fe road names.

the western pacific version was indeed a manufactured scheme, it is a rarer one, only manufactured 1978-1981. and to shaygetz clearly i notice yours is a CM&PS (chicago milwuakee & puget sound) 2-6-2 and also is in its manufactured scheme, but only from 1984-1987. Far more rarer! The best site is ho-scaletrains.net, it shows you all the years of all ho manufactures, every engine since their debut, its where i've seen the rarest mantuas
