after only 4 days of wait my undecorated mantua 0-6-0 shifter is now home on my layout. It took about an hour to get it to run flawlessly, but well worth the wait because this beauty never stalls has such a quiet motor for a mantua and has good slow speed operation, i greased the gears, oiled the moving parts, and cleaned the wheels, also i gave it a new tender drawbar cause the old one wasnt working well, also cleaned the main rods because they were corroded, now she is a true piece of work
ol #14 is right at home in good old california
An older photo of #14 right when i got her, before cosmetic work was done. the first photo is new Let me know what you guys think of my new loco i will have a video on youtube of her soon just visit my channel "TheDeputation"

Good job! Glad you brought an old lokey back to life.

I have more fun repairing then I do running, and finally, I thought someone would notice, it's a Long story, that used to be a yard office with the caboose shell mounted on a base with stairs and barrels etc, I decided to build a custom frame for the original caboose on the platform, so it has a frame and wheels but with everything else I'm working on work on it became a low priority, so today it needs couplers, and steps. Since I still had the base for the yard office I thought it'd be cool to install rail and put an out of service steamed of mine. For a while I had a steamer there but it's now being repaired. I had a southern pacific caboose that needed a new frame cause the originals coupler mounts were gone so I took the caboose and thats the one that you see there, it is on rail with ties, and is moveable meaning I can fix the caboose down the road. For now it sits as a display it was a win win situation for me
