Could you post a photo of the shell removed? Sometimes the type of drive mechanism is a good indicator of who manufactured the unit.

Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

I really like that Maine Central one!

Are the numberboards on it original, or someone else's retrofit job?

Spider the number boards appear to be a home made job. Thanks Ken for the ID. Are they F7's?

Trainline FAs use the old Train Miniature shell with a new drive. I'm not sure if it's unique to them, or if it shares with the Trainline GP9 - if it does, then it may share elements with the Model Power versions of that GP9 and their F3 (Cox tooled shells). I know the motors and driveshafts are the same. (why they never offered the F3, I don't know, it's a nice tool - perhaps a copy of Athearn's F7 with new side grille and center porthole).

I think those clear numberboards are off like a Bachmann F-unit or some other one, because they angle down.

I know that New Haven was distributed by Walthers. I'll take it off your hands if you are looking to sell it. I have a fetish for the new haven RR. I have a couple of them.
