Hey, Justin. I have a couple from back in the 70s. I always liked this series of cars & trucks... I think I may have posted a thread on here about these in the past...

Who claims they're 1/87? I have a mini-Lindy Gremlin, and it's definitely 1/64 size, not 1/87. The trucks may be closer to 1/87, but I don't think the cars are at all. Much like MB and HW, the scale is dependent on the packaging, so the trucks will be closer to 1/87, but the autos are not.

I've had or have a few of the trucks and a school bus, and those are indeed 1/87 (or as close as makes no difference). I imagine several of them may have been developed along with Lindberg's own short-lived HO train line, but some of them seem to be later designs.

I've also seen some of the cars, and agree those are closer to 1/64. But Lindberg made vehicles in many scales so that's not surprising. I do know the 1/32+ aren't considered "miny-lindys" though.

The Mini Lindy's are a common find on Ebay. I plan to buy a few new in box ones soon...

Unfortunately, the ones I want ( AMX, Gremlin ) command premium pricing at auction. A red Gremlin Mini LIndy just sold for 20 dollars this past week with no box, I watched it knowing I wasn't going to bid on it, but wanted to see what it sold for. Others can sell as high, some like the trucks are not as sought-after. It all depends. They are quite detailed, though. I have some of the 1/32nd Lindy's as well, I bought a lot of Gremlins some years ago, missing parts. FIgured I might build some large-scale slot car bodies with them.

I always thought the color combos was crazy! You'd get a red car with green interior! But I do enjoy the Mini Lindy's a bunch...
