Video of my Matchbox collection general vehicles. Everyone of these were on my first couple of layouts back in the 80's. They don't make em like they use too! About the only all die cast 1/64 vehicles being made now are from Johnny Lightning. Matchbox and Hot Wheels general lines are plastic bottoms = CHEAP.

I think AMC will want that AMX Those green Ford station wagons are the same ones like Peter Griffin drives except his is red hehe As a kid I used to mix in Matchboxes with Hot Wheels Now it no fun anymore since both are owned by Mattel I still do it tho

Actually, there's been a big stink among JL collectors the last few years, because the base price went from 2.47 to 3.47 at Wal-mart on the 4ever64 series, and most of the JL now have plastic bases, not metal. HW on the other hand has come back with some metal bases. The only real difference is that JL has two-piece wheels, with removable tires, and HW and MB have those cheapie-looking one-piece wheels. I keep telling the JL guys that you can swap the wheels on JL, but you can't on HW, so that's the price difference, but they still whine. LOL. Hotwheels has come out with a new series called Boulevard, some classic, some concept vehicles, for about 3.50, the '52 Hudson Hornet is one car I had to have. Nicely done, and metal chassis, too. Johnny Lightning just got bought out by Tomy, so there will be even MORE changes now at JL. Sheesh. The new cards have Tomy printed on the top right side. Long as they still make some AMCs, I'll be happy. Unfortunately the main JL website was shut down with an Account Suspended message popping up, so not sure what that is about. Maybe a Tomy/JL issue, or Tomy didn't like someone using the JL logo, who knows, haven't heard squat from anyone about it. Oh well. Thanks for posting your diecast, Brian. I'll check them out .

| Jerry - Thanks for the info. Appreciate you and others taking time to view videos. I noticed the price jumped when i purchased a Chevy citation and an Chevy Malibu - the 80's version -not the new one. They are all Die-cast. I am fan of the old vehicles as they are definitely BETTER QUALITY.
