I guess I'll start the COTW thread. I did A LOT of work on tis cab. Redecaled it, took off the roof wlk and filled in the holes, repainted the underframe, tje end doors, hard to tell but I also painted the inside seafoam greem which was prototypical, weathered the wheels. Painted the grab irons and windown froms andmademy own end railings because the ones Athearn supplied was junk. Nowall thats left to do is add window glazing and illhave a half decnet abose,.Sorry for the typos....im not used to this laptop yet...

Just as a side note for fellow tyconaughts; YES! ,I do have a big Chessie System caboose fetish. I have'nt told may members on here but me and a small group of individuals rescused an almost pristne C-27-A Chessie System baywindown for the scraper. She now resides in a park peacefully with funding to repaint it.

Continuing with a caboose theme, got this on a platte of Mantua stock at an antique show, I THINK it may be a Mantua Bobber, interesting thing is, it has a HUGE, wide copper wiper across the axles, but I don't see a light inside? And it doesn't look like the wipe contacts the axles, there's a hair-line gap. Looks professional or like it was made to be there. Railings and ladder on each end are metal, not plastic. Sorry for the poor picture, I just expanded and cropped the one I took of the whole lot. Anyway, might have to do some rework on this one and get some light "in" the subject .

| Nice bobber, Jerry...you'll find that that is not a wiper, but the retainer plate for the wheelsets. I thought the same thing 'til I found the original assembly sheet.
