I'm gonna toss in some N scale today. This was a Christmas present from my mom, a con-cor Canadian Pacific coach to add to my set. There are another two cars on back order: a baggage and a domed observation! (I'm incredibly excited about the second one) This will have to hold me for now

It was a German travel agency that owned its own cars back in the 1970s. When they went belly up, the cars were sold, those domes went to Swiss mountain rail lines.

Continuing the Passenger theme, my COTW is a chromed Bachmann all-dome Superliner. I think these would look great behind a Tyco Silver Streak or chrome Santa Fe. So far, I've only got this one, but am going to look for more. They're priced at $30+ on auction sites so far, I'm not paying that much for a Bachmann! I'll just keep watching.

Heh, and no, the car does NOT have woodgrain siding like my AMC Hornet wagon. heh heh! It's just reflecting off the table I used to take a picture, and I cropped that part off. Maybe I should have set it up different, oh well. It's getting posted as is.

My COTW is a Model Power Chessie System caboose. I had one when I was a teen with the matching MP Chessie System RS-11 (which I dont have yet).

This is my COTW:
ULRICH VINTAGE DIECAST MONON PIGGYBACK TRAILER MAID RAIL SERVICE - NIB
It did not occur to me to post this until now. I just sold this one tonight. I guess this could also go in the crazy and outrageous listings category...
It sold for $152... I just about passed out...

I've got a CP Rail version of this. Don't ya just love the truss rods? Like a Model-T with wire hubcaps!
John
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

Are those things scarce? I'm pretty sure there was one in a bag of stuff I sold cheap a few weeks ago Luckily it wasn't in great condition and I only paid about $3 for it

I can't say I've seen many of the Bachmann Chrome cars, much like the Tyco/Mantua Chrome passenger cars, they're probably more scarce and must command some higher prices. I paid $12 for mine at a show. I just don't think I'm willing to go 30 plus shipping just yet. So I've compromised and bought some green BN passenger cars off ebay the last couple nights.

I'll have to look in to things a little more next time I go to thin out the herd I see all the $30 cars on ebay you were talking about...they all look like recently produced items, and they're all "buy it nows". I'd imagine most of these guys are dreaming for $30 LOL Congratz on your BN purchase!
I still have three of these big boys in my roster

Hey, Da Cheez,
Looks like your little people also like these cars of yours.
um, wanna send some snow this way? The trees are starting to bud... we're getting to about 10'C most days.
Nice input from everybody.
