Has anyone seen Federal Express Decals in HO or 1/72nd?
I'm looking for the older Federal Express version, not the "Illiterati/Txt" Generation version.

I don't know that I've seen decals, but oddly enough Tyco made a Federal Express slot van. It might have been part of the US-1 line.
I want to say I've seen Trident models in Federal Express dress too, but don't know if they were sold that way or custom painted / decaled.
FWIW I think the "FedEx" rebrand was pretty brilliant from a marketing / corporate standpoint, and it largely predates the rise of the illiterati. Although in a sense you might say it contributed to it, but there are worse influences (Drive Thru, anyone)?

Tony,
I was thinking the Braille keypads on the drivethroughs actually!
I like the rebranding. I have a 727 display model in it but also the older....
Remember we talked about you making these but the problem was the Damn white lettering and Alps limited resources.
I'm hoping someone does a 1/72nd Federal Express Aircraft I can pirate from!?

Did we talk about that? I don't remember. But white wouldn't be a problem in this case because it's more of a negative-space silhouette. Paint the underlying vehicle white, then apply the blue and red shapes. Done.
Or it would be if I wasn't backlogged with projects... Ken is wanting decals too. Plus I've had my own on the backburner for 2 years now. And then there's this Crusader... and MRN deadlines... whew!

Tony:
I thought about the negative space thing to BUT, ok you paint the whole thing white, but you need an upper half Purple....
So you have to have a white area intruding into the purle zone to allow the white negative space....?

He's right. There was a US-1 FedEx van. There was also a FedEx airport...
I'd suggest making your own with decal paper, an inkjet printer, and clear lacquer paint... OR checking out Ebay.
I checked Microscale and they don't have anything... but here are decals from a 1/144 scale aircraft. This might work if you can live with the size/scale differences for your project- http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-144-scale-Decal-FedEx-Federal-Expres-BC-17-Globemaster-3-/350512085880?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item519c25fb78
Hope that helps

Ben,
Why at the end of each sentence in your last post? Are they in place of periods? Or s there some secret joke?
JK,
The 1:144th thing might work. The scale may be wrong but think how big a BC-17 is compared to a typical Train engine. Problem is, It's the older decals the FEDERAL EXPRESS ones I'm looking for. Having said that maybe there are 1:144 decals in the old version.
This might work if I can figure out the relative size. It appears at 170.6' (DC-10) the 1:144 decals go on a 14.2" model. That should be eough latitude....
