One of my train club members has one of these Marklin prop-trains, I think they're techno-cool. Also expensive.

Or, I could just DCC my Tyco Turbo Train, and flat out outrun this German fallenflatzen. Still, I like the look of it ( I have a thing for blimps and airships ).

Yes, that was my club member all right, with the Prince William Model Railroad Club! When he first fired it up at the TImonium show in the Spring?, kids literally came RUNNING over to see what was moving so fast. It did really well, until one of the member's wives raised the drawbridge, and he didn't see it in time,it took a header, just broke the prop. The other member paid for it. But that was the one I saw first in use.

I seem to recall that Atlas, waaaaaaaaaaay back in the day, had a (or was it a pair?) of propeller-styled "racers" on the market for a short time. Would be neat to see one of those updated.
Personally I think I know what I'm going to do with the letftover hotdog wrapper from my next large show, a tyco tri-dome junker, and a spare computer fan...

The rail zeppelin is nice, but it's really just a backwards rotary plow. Make mine a bomber jet-powered RDC:

Yeah, would like to convert an RDC into one of those. I found a magazine this summer with an article on JUST how to do that, and what model parts to use ( B-47 motors, I think). Now, if you're into Lionel size, there is some Cars 2 rocket pack accessories, I think it's a Mater special, with a dual jet engine, that would probably work well on a Lionel RDC. But it's way too big for HO scale. I've been eyeballin' it just the same. But not spending $12 for it.

No, just meant that the ol' Tyco Turbotrain should outrun that Zep like it was just cruisin' along. Just a little creative Americanization of some German language. Almost got the meaning right without knowing what I was saying.
