Ben, that's a bit nearsighted.

It would add another element to the production process thereby increasing their cost.

CVT, the advantage to the plastic especially to your generation, can be heard in the guy explaining how many trees are NOT cut down because of the plastic ones. You need to spend more time outdoors as in the forest, woods, park... you'll appreciate the re-use of all those dammed plastic water bottles.

This is a case of life imitating art. They should just mold them directly onto the rails and stamp "Atlas" on the bottom.

Although, you just know 20 years from now the eco-nuts are going to claim they're leeching some dangerous toxin into the groundwater, and demand every rail line be torn up.
