Yeah I know I'm early!
Anywho, I haven't figured out why Athearn Hi-F's seem to want to follow me around. I fear they need to Band together!
Anyway Black Widow Ahoy! I think I have all the Hi-F's now F7/GP7/RDC and Hustlers now.... anyone think of one I'm missing?

Cheers!

Hey Sean:
I did the guys local to me, it was $12.50 and no shipping. Question is, why were you watching it? It hardly falls into the realm of stuff you collect. If you want Hi-F I have a couple pristine examples. A NOS Pennsy F7 original box immaculate, and an RDC set-original box immaculate. both for sale and so is the GP7 if I don't trade it. Interested?

Heres my AC Gilbert 0-6-0. Runs very quietly and pulls well. Wish it had a smoke unit!

All 0-6-0 of the post war era used the same frame. Just gotta get the smoker itself, the gear and its rod and add the wiring and hardware. I'll keep it original. I wanna get the #400 serie 0-6-0 in Pennsy roadname!

I'm adding my newest 0-4-0 to Mbusss's and MnT's fine examples. Ignore the slope back tender behind this Model Power 0-4-0 for 6634 will eventually become a Pony class of the Santa Fe. Haven't carried out any time trials but it's so fast it must have nickel silver magnadhesion to stay on the track.

* - Hello ! This week I have looked at this thread a number of times and went to pick something out to put in it and I guess drifted away to something else. Here it is Friday morning and I still didn't share a photo yet. I'll try again. Not exactly a photo of a particular loco but a pair of the same ones. ** Atlas Alco.RS3 ** A mixed uo time up the CNJ with the B&O in control switching paint skeems to its favorite blue. frank

I have always liked the look of the engine. That and cleaned up with painted hand rails, they usually sell fairly good.. ~$30 - $40.

Not a big fan for the band drive. They run too fast. I think it was when I was ~14 I figured it out. The Snow Bird set I had, hit a top speed of just under 200mph (scale), just before trying to take the bend and ramming into my bedroom wall. That is a bit too fast for me and they have absolutely NO pulling power. I do have a fond affection for the NH locos though as I probably have 20-30 of them. Need to get rid of most of them though. Prices have really fallen on them as you are lucky to get more than $10 for them or any HI-F drive any more, no matter the condition or roadname. The photo below is one from someone elses recent eBay listing...that did not sell for ~$19.

My loco this week is an IHC 2-6-0 with a Roundhouse tender. Runs well but doesn't pull much up my 3% grades.

* Nice Roundhouse 2-6-0 ! With 3% grades you need either bigger power, or some doubleheading. That is what was done in real life. That is why railroads kept getting bigger and bigger locomotives. If you are going to build the mountains you need the power.

Mike:
You still going to the show tomorrow?
I'lll have to look up details. I have to work but may get there for a couple hours...
Actuall I did look and I' picking up at the Airport -Rearson at Noon so no show for me.
Do you have anything in the way of "beater" structures you might want to trade? Built or unbuilt. The usual suspects, Brewery, Fcatory Casket company, firehall.... That kind of thing.
