A CR repaint job and everything is done except the hand rails and numberboards. MU2 powered and it lights. It is lashed up right now on the layout with an early original PC Alco with the PC nose herald and another clone the Tyco inspired PRR Alco. They look pretty neat running together.

FIRST: Nice work AF! OEM as always!
OK for this week, an Athearn Baldwin DS4-4-1000 in CPR Script, my favourite paint scheme....
Bought as you see it, because I admired the weathering job the guy did. I need to make a couple of minor changes to make this S-12 look more like the DS

and finally and pic of the real thing in much tidier, visit Mom mode!

Thanks, Gareth

Frank;
Thats a Trainmaster sticking it's nose out from behind, isn't it?
I have a weathered CNJ unit I was going to offer you but it looks like you won't need it.

My new loco that was part of a lot I bought on ebay. It included another Mantua 4-6-2 but this one is one of my favorites.

My LOTW:
A possibly original and ultra rare Varney Super Berkshire. Has not come yet, but I can say it is the only one I have ever seen. If it is not an altered Super Mikado or consolidation chassis, or just built-up using original parts, it might be an uncatalogued model. I know the uncatalogued Super Northern exists and have a friend with one, but I never knew about the Berkshire.

After all those "baby" Trainmasters and Big Boys etc, time to downsize a bit. Here's a Mehano Hustler in Pennsy scheme. Don't know if I've tried it yet on the test track, may need a loop or two.

Keeping it company is a Johnny LIghtning Gremlin, which came in a 5-pack originally.

My guess, since they included the red striping on the side still, that it is a factory paint error. Not that I know anything, I'd just say it got missed.

* Has anyone noticed that what Adams just said is a common statement about Tyco-Mantua locomotives, ( except for the PT drive ). With other manufactures words like adjustments and repair have to be added. frank

Tell you what CVT,
You control your spam level posting and correcting people old enough to be you Dad or Grandad and I'll give it some consideration. Just so we're clear I'm not referring to your post about the topic change. i'll leave it to your fertile imagination to deduce whereof I speak!
Frank: Yeah and verily! A point not made often enough. I love rivets as much as the next guy, but their are plenty of cute woman that don't look like Angelina Jolie!

One Thing-I Could Swear That The Name Of The Forum Is Tyco TRAINS Forum, Not Tyco SPORTS Forum. Dont Mean To Be Rude Again, And My Grandads Are All Gone Sadly. Some Grew To 80. Its Sad That I Dont Have Any Grandads. Well, I have Dad, Who Takes Me To Shows And On Railfanning Trips.
