I hear ya on the Olympics Ken. Growing up in Chicago as a kid, I used to always think what a wonderful thing it would be if Chicago could host the Olympics, and why shouldn't they?
But by the time they launched their (failed) bid for 2016, I couldn't have been more shrug-off ambivalent. The whole Olympic "movement" is so tainted and overwrought. I almost wish the winter/summer games were combined to one year again - maybe not having the stupid rings shoved down our throats with product tie-ins year after year would return a measure of mystique and anticipation to it.
Anyway, that was off-topic. I actually have a few items for COTW but no pics handy here at the office...

As promised, my first CotW in a while...
Went to a small swap meet over the weekend and picked up a few cool boxcars in some of my favorite "demurrage era" shortline schemes of the 70's and 80's... including the following unexpected surprise I just HAD to have!

Custom-painted Maryland & Pennsylvania, from the late 70's. The color is divine, but that logo is simply incredible.
