I thought I would post some pics of the progress I've made on a light kit bash on a Tyco Doug's Drugs kit. I assembled this kit when I was a kid and it came out pretty poor since I had no patience. I still had it around but had no use for a soda fountain/pharmacy as my new layout is more industrial. I pulled the kit out to see if there was any kit bashing potential and was delighted to discover that the back side of the model features some nicely bricked up windows. I re-painted the model and set it up so that the back is the new front. I had to change the shape of the walls since the original featured an angled front door and this would have looked strange on the back of the building.

Still needs some work. I'd like to bring out the detail on the bricked up windows more. A parking area and landscaping will help a lot too. Anyhow, I now have a nice little industrial cinder block building on the track.

Wouldn't you know it, someone has already made it onto the roof and added graffiti.
