MY New LOTW:

It was a Mantua Booster 0-4-0 / Athearn 2-8-2 kit bash project I just finished tonight.
I have since straightned the running boards...

My LOTW is a 43 - mile long yardsale find this past Saturday, guy had a table with Marx, Tyco, and other cars. I paid $20 for this Tyco 1890 steam kit, already assembled but not decaled yet. I think those are missing , but I got an extra motor with it. Haven't tried to run it yet, but it looks very nice.

I was traveling to a remote train show 160 miles from home, this was one stop along the way. Unfortunately, the train show was not there when I got there, I think the Ruritan club didn't update their ad. Oh well, it was a gorgeous day for a drive in my 1976 Hornet Stationwagon, nice test drive through the mountains and valleys of middle Virginia. And I still got trains.

well here is my AHM Hudson I got from a train show last year for $20 & it STILL hasn't been fixed Only real thing missing is one of the steps on the tender
I noticed there is a wire on the coupler between the tender & the loco What is it for?

Likely means Ben, that the Tender has working P-ups and is passing current to the Loco!

Yep. Most Rivarossi steamers had the same pickup style as Mantuas did.

No problem Bob...I'll try and post what I can. I dont really have any steamers so it was difficult to keep the steam subjest going this week.
Nice locomotive Ken!

Remember reading somewhere the centipede tenders were designed how they were to allow them to fit somehow on a turntable?
