Hi!

Was really psych'd to get my pipe unloading depot operating.. hooked it up to a tyco transformer there was noise, a puff of smoke, and the motor failed!

Does anyone have any idea what the specs are (amp/volt) to replace.. also a good source for the motor.. noticing it has a long shaft.. most of the motors at radio shack I think have shorter ones..

Also, so I don't do this again: isn't it correct to use the accessory (a/c) side of the transformer or am I supposed to use something else?

appreciate any advice!!!

Yes, you use the AC terminals of the powerpack. I do believe the motor is DC and uses a rectifier to convert AC to DC. 12V motors are common. Aim for a 16V or so becuase thats the standard out put on transformers. You can always get a 12VDC can motor, a rectifier and some resistors so the 16VAC won't fry the 12VDC!Also, DC motors are cheaper and quitier than a AC motor!
