Trying to install the screw in the 2 brass tabs into the cab roof of a Mantua MU2 Alco shell is difficult. One brass fitting goes to the light bracket and one connects to the rear truck.
After some struggling today I decided to use yellow wood glue to stick the tabs together with the screw inserted also. Use a very small amount of glue just enough to hold things together. I used an old hair dryer to carefully speed up the drying. After the glue had stiffened I manuevered it easily into the plastic mount at the top of the cab then screwed it in.
It worked for me in minutes. The GN Big Sky clone I've been working on ran and lighted. (For Big Sky pictures I had installed a non running MU2.)
