Lovely Mountain, Ken.
Were there any native UK 4-8-2's and if so what was the class called?

Philistine....
An AHM 4-40 "Genoa", one of my favorites...I grew up with one running around our Christmas tree. This replaces a later one that I had, this one has the turned brass fittings, including flag staff sockets on the pilot...

* Mine is a 2-10-0 decapod made by Hornby, the 9F class. It is from Ken a friend from London. It has a tender drive. The problum with the drive is only 2 axels propel this model. Traction tires provide additional traction. It does not pull like a penn-line decapod. This loco was a dual use engine. Used for both freight as wheel arangement shows, and passenger service. The model runs smothly but needs to double head for larger trains. I dont have many of the English small freight cars so a coupler change and it pulls my US type cars. I do enjoy having this loco. The other I have is named the Evining Star. This one I call the Black Star. Together they can do a good job.
