The popular Union Pacific unit number 5628 leads another railfan excursion in Hartland Kansas. Large crowds are popular this time of year with the foliage trips selling out quickly.

Thank you Jeff. This next scene may also bring back happy memories. We find a colorful New York Central box car waiting for delivery. At Hudson Falls New York with a vintage station wagon auto to complete the joyous scene.

I love that Amtrak train set you photographed recently Jeff. Gorgeous scene as well. We see a beautiful Pacific engine enter Creston Iowa this early morning with a lone grain car.

That is a gorgeous Southern Pacific set you saw yesterday Richard. Meanwhile 3000 miles to the east we see a string of New Haven box cars. Traveling up a curved grade outside Hartford Connecticut on a warm day.

SD45 engine number 6502 is on the point of this New Haven train. All twelve wheels are grinding hard as she pulls up a two percent grade. Black smoke tinges the muddy sky and the ground shakes from her labor. The exhaust blasts the Spring air. Flanges shriek in protest as it passes us by.
