This L-L kit doesn't seem to be real common. I believe was produced after I got out of the hobby in the late 70's I like the kit and wil buy one in the future. I have noticed that Heljan makes this kit now. I would rather buy the life-Like kit to have the box to display with my other kit boxes. Anyone have this kit or know anything more about it

That is a great piece!
I'd love to have one of those for my US-1 layout... hmmm. Looks like an eBay search!

Pretty sure there is a Model Power version of that kit too - I built one as a kid in the 80s and I don't remember it being a Life-Like.Edited by - lvrr325 on March 31 2009 04:16:50 AM

I managed to win the Life Like ESSO Gas Station on Ebay on Sunday evening, April 19th.. Auction number is 290310779533. I believe one can type that number in ebay's search box and it will bring up the auction...

There's one of these rare Life-Like ESSO (sealed) kits on ebay for another day & a half. It's only up to $3.04 with reasonable shipping costs. I have this kit and it is a nice piece. Thought I would give a heads up since a few members seem to want this kit. Walt
Luck, usually comes dressed in work clothes...

Yes , This is a nice kit. I opened my box and have built most of mine. I left the roof(s) unglued for now. I believe the station will look great on a layout with a little detailing around it. Walt

I've had one of these gas stations for years. It was on my original layout's expansion under the name "Barney's Automotive". It now lives in Queensdale as the Rocket Fuel service station.
