Well, here in Jersey today is our warm day. It is 37 F and no wind. My wife's info says it is 32 and feels like 28. Yesterday was 28 and felt like 8. There is still a lot of snow outside. It is so warm I may go sunbathing in my back yard. Get a little tan you know or maybe frostbite. Have a nice day Jeff.

Considering it's 11 a.m., it's a warm and balmy 20 below here with a wind chill of -34, and there's over a foot of snow, yeah just a little.

Freezing rain here in PA last night....today it is in the high-30's, and we are supposed to get a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and rain into the night and thru next week.

That is unusual for your area Jeff. But you have hidden opportunities as seen with my recent photos.
Quickly before the snow melts.

It's not melting. Overcast, very unusual, and still biting cold. Even having let water trickle, some pipes froze. Hope they don't break up.

Whatever you do don't heat them up in a hurry. During college a classroom had a window left open in negative temps all night. The next morning a kid closed it and in less than five minutes there was an inch of water spraying out of a pipe.
If you want to unfreeze them, I'd gradually try to bring them up to temp. As somebody who lives in an Antarctic blowhole, I reccomend investing in some pipe insulation in the future.

Go buy some heat tapes... Wrap them around the frozen pipe and plug them in. The pipes should start flowing soon afterwards.

I will do that. What I did for the outside lines was to light a Hibachi under the two. That did the trick. But I like the heat tape idea better.

We just got around 5 inches of snow, and a little sleet to top it off, here in southeastern PA. Nice. .-.

The last of the snow hit here tonight - no water for 16 hours, was supposed to be on 10 hours ago but they can't figure out how to run the water plant with the generator. Should be back in the morning I'm guessing.

That video was great. Years ago I had the Athearn steam powered blower and wondered what they would have looked and sounded like. The video helps to show what it must have looked like. There is also a video of a narrow gauge double header steam locos and steam powered snowblower working through the snow. That is a great sight and sound.

Here in southeastern PA, we just got another 1-3 inches yesterday morning - seems every week we are getting at least 1 snowstorm.

Stupidly enough the weather in Northern Minnesota is beautiful right now. We went from being stuck below zero to stuck above freezing. It went from dry to REAL wet, but as somebody who gets dry sinuses a lot, I can't complain.

Ben is outside making snow angels. Here in El Paso the Front is pushing all kinds of wind in a two day typhoon. Went to Walmart to get a printer cartridge and was dodging flying grocery carts, empty cardboard boxes and bits of rock being hurled off the mountainside. Air is choked with dust. These windstorms last for days and puts everyone on edge and murders asthma patients. Supposed to be gone by tomorrow, can hardly wait.

Ouch.
So far here in PA, we have had warmer weather this past week (which was awesome) but now this week, we will have chilly temperatures in the 30's and 40's, with some snow possible on Tuesday.

Stupidly Minnesota has zero snow, and we had one day where it was warm and humid in the 60 degree range. Global Warming is currently doing some topsy-turvy stuff.

And like someone hitting the "off" button, the Typhoon winds ceased. Now just a lingering breeze and quite cold, in 30's I'd guess. At least that wind stopped, it was really grating my nerves.
