Here's my COTW offering:
An Eggo / Mrs. Smith's yellow boxcar, made by AHM.

Archival shot of a Tyco Hospital Coach on a 3.5 x 3.5 layout. RP, that Eggo is fabulous. The tag line for that commercial was: "L'eggo of my eggo." Also of note is a bloom of red in the background. Are you building up a collection of colors, as well? I do that, quite a bit.

Nice hospital car, Chops! I also like those fall trees in the foreground as well as the flowing creek - awesome details! Actually, I'm not collecting by color, but rather try to make a "fairly-prototypical" train car yard, where I have hoppers on one track, box cars on another, gondolas on the another, etc. This makes it easier for when I select certain cars for the freight train to operate on the Ephrata Valley Railroad.
Actually, I think that a color-coded train collection would be neat!

I follow WKS posts a lot, it seems he often blends varieties of colors of landscape to reflect the trains.
A long time ago I knew this guy "Johnny," who brought over his trains to run. He was also a member of the model train club. I asked him what he specialized in, if anything, and he said he collected trains by color, which I thought was totally unique, and I ended up doing a bit of that with the Tyco. A yellow DRGW Krauss Maufei dedicated to a string of yellow Dutch Maid cars, a black, white and red CN unit hauling red, white, blue Jello cars.
Sad story with Johnny: last time I saw him was about five years ago. He was unwashed, unkempt, babbling and paranoid. He developed an addiction to heroin that destroyed him top to bottom.
I'd rather be addicted to Tyco and this Forum.

Yeah, wks does do some amazing stuff with color...and those realistic backgrounds are stunning!
Sad to hear that he became addicted, Chops. It is truly terrible when people become addicted to substances....which change their character and their future.....and some people are in bondage to certain things which are not even substances, yet those addictions wield the same destructive power over their lives.

You should check out Michael Paul Smith's photography using model cars and trucks.. unbelievable realist shots. My COTW is the AHM EGGO car too. This was sent as a gift from a lady in California who I won a huge slot car track from. That was back in the year 2000.! Quick photo with poor lighting...

Nice malt car, Frank.
Here is my COTW, a Lionel HO 0845 Ft. Knox gold car. It has a chipped step, but otherwise is in great condition.

As a small child, I was always annoyed, after seeing a Mounds or Almond Joy commercial, to find out they were NOT available in the stores in Canada. Now they are, and I don't want one. Evan

It might if the car were flanked by a Lionel Missile Launching Car, Minuteman Missile Launching Car, Turbo Missile Firing Car and the Helicopter Car. Or better yet, the cars from the Tyco Rambo set. Does anyone have the Tyco Rambo set?

Mike, would you believe that's the only piece of Canadiana rolling stock I don't own? lol
My offering is a blue Tyco CP Rail Boxcar. Gotta love the offset multimark. This gives me three Tyco CP Rail boxcars, the blue and green CP 50' plug doors, and the 40' yellow sliding door.

My COTW is actually a pair, O gauge and HO gauge Oscar Mayer boxcars. The O gauge is made by Pola, I thought they only did buildings? At any rate, a neat find this past Saturday.
