I've heard that Walther's Life like branch also made proto 1000 train sets. Please post pictures and information regarding these sets.

I just did some quick browsing on the internet and found this:

It appears to be part of the Proto 1000 lineup catalog and as you can see on the right side of the picture, there's a Proto 1000 train set.

"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."

Initially, Life-Like had the Great American Railway Proto 1000 sets from 1999 until around the Walthers buyout. You get an F3A diesel locomotive, three freight cars and caboose, a 56x38" oval of nickel-silver Power-Loc track, and their Snap-Loc train station building kit (also included in some of their "regular" train sets as well.)

One Proto 1000 set that was made after the buyout was the Continental Crossing:

It had four freight cars instead of three, a figure-8 over-and-under nickel-silver Power-Loc layout, and an MRC power pack.

Here's a neat QVC-exclusive Proto 1000 train set I saw online too...

The Triple Train Empire! It had the steel Power-Loc track, but it still used Proto 1000 locomotive and rolling stock!
