I recently purchases a Tyco 1960 Red Ball Express T605 complete train set at an estate sale. It looks like brand new, even the box. It did not come with a power pack, but I bought a Tyco unit online. I can't wait to see if the engine runs OK.
I need tips on engine maintenance and first-time startup.
And I wonder what the market value of a set in this shape is.

I'll be looking to expand my set if everything is working.
