I had some used shells laying around so I decided to make an Amtrak MoW fleet.
The toughest parts was trying to get the decals on straight. I doubt if I will ever do this again......

Those look really good. Did you use an air brush or a paint brush? The paint looks smooth and even.

Hi AF Kid,

Those are nice. I really like the paint finish as well. Very smooth. So, paint brush or air brush? LOL! those decals are straight as an arrow.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Guys!
I always use an airbrush (Badger 200 with a small compressor).
I used Badger 's Western Pacific Orange paint with a Testor's Dull Coat finsih over the
decals. The FM C-Liner has a Badger Clear satin finish. Some engines were re-done more than once. I mostly used Microscale's Amtrak decals.

Next up.... will be some NJ Transit engines. ( In a week or two.....)

Cool... I wasn't around when this was first posted. A whole Amtrak pumpkin fleet. AHM used to offer the GP18 in this scheme.

AF Kid,
Very nice work with both smooth paint and application of decals. A very good job that must look nice on the shelf or track.
Sorry I didn't comment earlier.
