Got bored today and thought I would try my hand at weathering. I have a guy that usually does all my weathering but he has been very busy lately. This is one of the cars I picked up Sunday. Its just a Bachmann, I started by changing trucks, adding metal wheels and body mounted some knuckle couplers. Then started checking out youtube for some weathering videos. Just used some cheap Wal Mart craft paint diluted it with water and washed the color down, then lots of trail and error with the rust colors. Think it turned out alright for my first time, got to get my decal guy to make some leasing reporting marks and I think it will look better . Anybody got any weathering tips for a newbie.

Jeremy,
A really nice weathering job. If you've had weathering done before you've developed an eye for it.

Brava there fella.

To be thrown upon one's own resources is to be cast into the very lap of fortune, for our faculties then undergo a development and display an energy of which they were previously unsusceptible.
