At our monthly Club business meeting Tuesday, a club member brought in some donated HO stock, including freight, passenger, and engine pieces, and some German stuff. I immediately took a shine to the new Mantua Classic Tank Switcher I saw, wondering how good they are compared to the old classics. The detailing appears excellent, and I thought even though it's Pennsy, it's close enough to my C&O stomping grounds to be seen in my possession. Anyway, I paid $40 for it, it is DCC ready, just needs a Decoder. Ok, technically, it's NOT my first DCC steam engine, I DO have a Thomas with decoder that I've run maybe once. But this will be my first prototypical steam engine I can operate on the club's layout and at modular shows. Now to acquire another Decoder. The money just keeps flowing out. LOL

Our resident Deutsche descendant decided he wanted all the German stuff QUICK. I barely got a chance to look at it real good before he hauled it out to his truck. Oh well, a bit out of my price range this month anyway. So unfortunately it's all gone. The plan was to White Elephant it at the next show, or Ebay it. Not sure how much will be left to do so at this rate. Sorry, shaygetz!
