Hey guys;
A fella here in Canada (Ontario) big shock sold this on ebay a little while ago. CPR of course never had any 430's but it sure looks the part!

Hey Jerry:
Hard to believe someone went to that much trouble with a Mantua/Tyco unit like that. But hey, I just bought a new 72" driver wheelest for my first Gen Tyco 4-6-2 Pacific and I have a Kemtron brass "Sport" Vestibule cab to put on there as well to make it more Canadian. A CNR K-6.
So I guess it's what turns your crank, lok at some of the stuff Shaygetz and Ray Marinaccio have done. It's all about the doing I bet they would say.

Looks great! He did a nice job. Personally I'd take the time to make a cheaper engine look nice rather then risk screwing up an expensive one

That CPR C-430 is a work of art, romcat. My true hope is that Atlas or any other serious toy train company DON'T do a 430 because all we'd get are prototypical schemes. Nice but dull.
An Alco Century 430 pair in Santa Fe Superfleet, if you please Mr. Model Power.
Failing that, I'd settle for an Atlas Reading one.

I don`t want to bring this topic up again, but I thought that CP owned some C430s. Or was that C425s?

C424's I believe it was. One of them used to run the field behind my house.

Technically it's in front of my house XD The line was called Ottawa Central. It consisted mostly of a number of Ex-CP Alcos. It's all CN stuff that runs through there now.
Here's a photo of a pair of RS-18u's I took a couple years back:
