whenever i get hold of a kit thats been assembled,and cannot due to method of construction,be dismantled,and it has no windows,i always wonder if windows will improve it or spoil it,got hold a few which were like this and pondered then thought of micro kristal klear,why not give it a go,i think its better ken before
 after
 a caboose that i think looks better with the treatment

I like the change, particularly on the caboose. Now it doesn't look abandoned.

So you used Micro Kristal Klear and what else to achieve the window effect? I may have to try this out.

hi rdc1,just micro kristal applied with handrail brass rod for small windows and toothpick for the larger ones ken

believe me if i can do a half reasonable job with my eyes,imagine what you guys with good eyes could do,ideal for those little windows along the sides os the e/f series diesels,its also like pva glue water soluble till dry so its easy to clean off,it can also be used as adesive to glue things like windows etc ken another use i have found is to paint headlamps white then fill with this,it takes a bit of time to dry on some,but its looking good will post when dry photo added for bens benefit,smoke stack fitted
 will blend it in when i find a colour match

we all forget that glass as we know it,float glass was only invented in the 50s by pilkington.before this glass was not perfect it had blemishes and this method reproduces that,
