My contribution this week are some Tyco Red Box switchers, bought weeks apart on Ebay, just got the black one on Saturday. Love these little critters, they're just so ... huggably cute! LOL.

Haven't tried either yet, will try to do so today.

I've been on a steam terror lately! So here is one that I picked up over the weekend at a local show. Rivarossi 4-6-2 Pacific Southern. Very smooth runner! I like the paint scheme!

Mine is an Athearn BB SDP 40 C&NW. Dont know if they ever had one but it was free. I added some details to it including new horns, drop steps and lift rings. Next is a plow, air hoses, cut levers, windshield wipers and the nose bell I have the bell just waiting on the kit from Plano. I didnt want to Frankenstien it so I am going with the kit lol.

Shaygetz I love that cab forward. That's the one your rehabilitated isn't it? Lots of other great locos this week guys!
Picked this up for $5 bucks. Was cast aside in a box with a bunch of other random locos. At that price probably should have saved a few more. But this one had character. A old Roundhouse Atlantic.

Barely runs when its up off the rails. Missing valve gear. After this was taken I swapped the tender out for a similar looking IHC unit I had laying around. Just gotta rewire it so it provides power for the loco (right now its wired for a tender light). Main reason for the tender swap was the IHC one was for coal rather than oil. I'm planning on probably making the whole thing relatively close to a Erie 4-4-2.

Thanks...yes, it had a warped frame from "zinc-mites", I broke it into 3 pieces then reassembled it with JB Weld. After some filing and fitting, all 8 drivers touch the rails and it pulls like a beast ([i[maybe the 3 oz. of lead ballast in the boiler help there[/i] )
Keep us posted on that 'Lantic...
