Here's the newest member of my steam family, a Varney Lil Joe dockside engine. All metal, just received it Saturday, haven't even fired it up yet. It's family photo got taken on a new 8 foot long "module" I'm building to use for my modular HO club shows, instead of 2x4, it'll be 1 x 8 foot, with mountain boards instead of skyboards. Just a simple T section with a 4 inch extension up front, and nothing behind but mountains. Anyway, while the glue is drying on the roadbed to the T module, I laid some track and took some photos of Varn. His blue coat is a bit tattered, and needs some touch-up, but I think it'll be fine.

I'll try to power it up tonight, still have some outside work to do before it gets dark.

How about the venerable Plymouth MDT switcher...in 3 scales, O, HO and N....

...I've owned the HO and N ones for awhile. I was given the O scale one this week by a fellow modeler clearing out his closets.

My only purchase from the train show. I hastily bought it without noticing it's a really, really older style drive. I'll probably fix it up when I get time this summer.

Going to post something a little different this week. First off the collection your about to see belongs to my friend. He wanted a group shot of it because it thought it would be entertaining...

Frankly I thought it was pretty cool too hehe. Funny part is he's always buying more. Oh yea this was a NYC group shot. All the locos are his except the shark on the right, that's mine. All the steamers are Rivarossi's except for the 0-6-0 (P2K) and the Niagara (Bachmann). Enjoy!
I have some closer shots of the other engines if anyone would like to see them I'll post them!
