Hi, My husband found his Tyco train set in his father's basement from his childhood. It is the complete set, like new cond. He thinks he got it Xmas 72. He's just curious what the value might be, if anything. The box reads: Tyco electric train set, HO Scale, ready to run, complete with electric power pack, precision engineered. The only number/letters I found on box are, on one end, a sticker H-09-4, and on the other end, a sticker with 7846 and 49-96161. Anyone with any info., please email. Thanks............Laurie

Its hard to tell without seeing pictures of it. It would be hard for anyone to tell you what the price value of it would be nowadays with eBay and all.

I tried doing a little research for you. You listed the number 7846, but most of Tyco's sets were int the 7200-7400 numbering range. I can't find that number.
ILUVBUDWSR is correct in that pictures would greatly help out. If you could describe the set to best of your ability it would be helpful. Is it a steam or diesel engine, what road name? Describe the cars in the set. The information you did post appears on nearly all of Tyco's offerings.
