Must be a bad selling time on Ebay right now!

Really?

Karma pays it forward: cost me $5 at Louisville GTE, so I still tripled my money and someone else got a good deal. Everyone wins... guess that's what happens when hoarders are done with their fill.

The same Sohio's been wanting for $40 BIN for 3 weeks now. Yellow BN sold for 99 cents on Saturday. So I guess it is a bad time.

OTOH I just found a yet another very rare (probably "new") Autoloader, and another GN boxcar variant, both for cheap, so I guess it's a good time to be looking as well.

It all averages out.

You guys forgett. E-bay is not a sale place. It is a auction. A sale price is fixed and can go down. As long as there is stock that is the price. A auction has usally 1 item or 1 group of items. No fixed price. Compition for winning. Two very different thimgs. I you buy the other you bet.

I used to sell allot on EBay. Now I mainly buy. The economy being as it is thing just are not going for what they used to unless it is something really special. As for the piggy backs I have seen several of the Athearn spine cars for trailers starting o show up. I wonder how many people are just moving on to more modern equipment. I do not mean to put down the flat bed style (I actually prefer those) but if you have to run the most modern they are not it.

is that a rare set or something? I'm not a set collector, so I don't know anything about them. I guess you're right, you could attend many shows trying to acquire all those pieces, especially Red Box. Looks nice in the photos, for sure.
