Hey Guys,
I just won an Old Tyco 4015 Santa Fe F-9 off Ebay (non- working and less than 10 bucks) Gonna see how the trucks are in condition (probably offer them up on here to someone who wants them)
then find a new Chassis to plug under her and get a decent running Locomotive in the fleet.

gonna do some custom work to the Cab (see if i can find an interior with engineer at the local train store), Wire up a 3 Bright White LED light kit for the nose and number boards, and see where it goes from there.

Rather do something like this to a old Tyco engine than that CNW i have sitting on my desk

Stay tuned for details and pics.

HI,
If that was mine I would rebuild the old Tyco power torque and have a great running motor. Why do you guys have trouble with these old motors. I rebuild then or replace them with a Can motor I have never seen a power torque I could not get going .

Well, the First two Tyco locomotives I've owned, died with rather short lives. So my santa fe and my chattanooga gp-20 went the way of the garbage can (this was well over 25 years ago mind you) My 30+ year old Life like FM C- liner powered CNW F-9 would probably still run if i put her to powered rail right now. The only Good luck (and multiple year life span) I got out of a Tyco Locomotive was my 4301 Virginian GP-35 (that thing was a beast- still may very well be if i can find the box the poor thing is in) from the mid 80's.
