Hey Guys:

I've got a GG-1 packed away somwhere and have decided to use the Shell from an Athearn PA chassis I think, to make a "GG-D", yes a Diesel GG! Naturally it will be D&H because there's nothing they wouldn't try, Gawd Bless `em!

So I'll be left with a Chassis and Pantographs who's springs are going to one of our Forum colleagues (DaCheez).

So I finally get to the question. Sine the GG-1 is packed away still in a box from my move from NJ. to Toronto I can't compare but, are the Vampire trucks on the two essentially the same, because I thought a Two PT Engined Super 630 woulld be COOL!

Thanks,
Gareth

I don't have a GG1 myself... but I can't see any reason why the trcks would not be the same. The Powertorque motor was pretty much one-size-fits-all, and the Vampire truck was designed only to fit that motor.

As I pointed out in the Guide to 630s... you might actually run into variation in PowerTorque truck caps. BUT - the sideframes themselves are removable (to a degree) and would swap over in a pinch.

OK, so Panto springs to DaCheez, and the Panto's themselves to Ray!

GoinginCirclez is right about the one size fits all PT's. The only difference is in the smaller engines (C430, Shark-Nose, etc...) the trucks only have 4 wheels rather than 6 wheels in the GG-1 and the 630's right?
