Sunday, February 13, 2011
Here is the info. It's not huge but awesome nonetheless. Prices are generally really cheap.

And from Virginia , just can't make that 1,000 mile trek right now with the Jeep, and my Transporter is broke right now. If you find any AMC slot cars cheap, under $10, like the Gremlin....well...hmm.

You know, I don't believe I've ever taken photos of my slot car collection? Saved photos off Ebay, but my personal collection, no, I don't have any yet. But I WILL rectify that!
Soon...
Processing....
Ding! Done.
Posting....

This one came out blurry, I'll redo it tonight

A completed plastic model 75 Matador Coupe NASCAR I bought off Ebay ( I just can't do plastic models, I'm horrible at it ).

A VERY SMALL sample of my AMC diecast and slot car collection. This case is by my easy chair in the living room, I can just glance at them and appreciate them every time I sit down.
I'll dig out my other AMC slot cars and try to get a "group photo", I have the yellow Super Gremlin stored away, I actually have multiples of the Shamrock and Super Gremlins. I even have the Matchbox version of the dirt track Gremlin. THAT's a hard one to find anywhere.

Update - more of Jerry's slot cars!
Ok, since I have a little time before going to work, I found some of my other AMC slot cars, and got them together for a group photo. Well, two groups. Here they are -

These are my Javelin and AMX slot cars, I probably have more around. Just what I could lay my hands on right now.

More of my Gremlin slot cars. The upper left yellow dirt track Gremlin is a Matchbox, not easy to find these days. The lower right green striped Gremlin is a mini Lindy ( Lindberg ) plastic model, not a slot, but the same size. VERY hard to find, and usually 15-20 george's , this one has a missing right windshield pillar, I think I paid $8 for it thru Ebay.
I have some Matador Coupes somewhere, but not sure where they are right now, could be in the big display case in the room corner where I have stacks of model trains 6 foot deep in front of it. I won't get to it today! Nor tomorrow...sometime this year, I HOPE. Still working on clutter clean-up.

Very nice. I had to go get a tissue to catch my drool before it dripped onto the keyboard. The two Tyco Gremlins you have are the one's I've been trying to acquire. They always seem to have damage or are way too rich for my blood. I love the other AMC cars you showed.

Like I said, just a fraction of what I actually have. There's a yellow Super Gremlin on Ebay right now, at $14. I think I've paid up to $25 for one, but that's my limit. I think I have two each of the Shamrock and Super, and one of the red and white Tyco dirt track Gremlin ( rarer )
Good thing you didn't short out your keyboard with the drool.
