I did buy 3 Athearn engines for parts for $5 each. Most of the Ho delaers were the same ones who were at the Merchants Sq Mall show yesterday. They were there because they didn't sell anything yesterday nor did they today as their prices are too high......

AF Kid you hit the nail on the head! The majority of these dealers need to decide if they are in the business to move merchandise and than go out and get more or do they want to put out the same Lionel boxcar for $65.00 each week and wonder why they don't sell anything. It would also help if some of these dealers were not some sort of social retarted trolls who have the personal hygene habits of an ox and the social skills to match! How many times you walk by a table and the dealer never even looks up at you or acts like you are bothering them by looking at their merchandise. Another idea would be if you have more than 1 table of merchandise than buy two tables! Hard for people to by something if it is in a box under a table! Sorry for the rant.

This was the first and last time in some 15 years that I went to this show. Needless to say I won't be going back. Sometimes I tell these dealers "What side of the coffin do you want this stuck on. Because at that price you are going to take it with you". Some of these clowns have yet to realize that this country is in serious financial trouble and they are asking pre- 1989 prices for their stuff. I don't think there is that much demand for Ho trains anyway.Edited by - AF Kid on January 23 2011 3:22:40 PM

I got there today also. Low on cash . Low on purchases. I found 4 cars. A pair of old time passenger cars. And a IHC 4-4-0 Jupiter. I also found a almost complete Bachmann GS4 drive. All that was missing was a alex off the rear truck. I did see other stuff at good prices. I watched a Rivarossi GG1 get purchased for $30. Seen $50 atlas locomotives. There was a twosome of LLP200 E7 and A E8, the 8 was a ATSF and the 7. the UP City of San Fransisco. There were some dealers there with bad prices. It happens everywhere. Buy cheep sell high happens alot. But sometimes the price is buy almost high and sell high, with not alot of markup. If you dont like the price dont buy. frank
