I thought that they looked ok to me too when I had some tanks. Along the side of the train they looked OK. Then I tried to use them as a flat car load. They did not look right hanging over the sides of the flat. I ended up using some Roco 1/87th ones.

point taken, regards train loads but most oo items can be used ie scenary, tanks cars etc as long as not next to ho scale items,if you are short of items or what you want are not available this could be a good compromise ,ken

Some of the figures, military vehicles, etc are on my son's layout. He's also got some 1/72 planes on it as well.

It doesn't look bad to me. I've never seen a tank next to a train IRL, but the pics look fine. Tanks come in different sizes anyway, so I don't see why you couldn't pull off a slightly over scale tank

Well as a Tanker in the Army I can say that looks fine, it is just a little to tall but no one could tell with out knowing that they are differnt scales.
Last drill we even got to fire the darn things up and out of the two we got at the Armory one started, but we had to jump it with the hummer. The turret would only traverse right and the other one did not start... I am glad we deploy as infantry in a armored unit uggg. Sorry for the rant.
