Looks like it's coming along nicely. I've got a partial Varney Casey Jones "kit" , it's missing some of the pieces ( like axles, side rods, etc. ), would be an interesting job to get it back together. I actually found someplace, I think maybe Bowser, that has these parts I can buy to rebuild the entire engine to complete it. This rehab you're doing is good, can't wait to see it finished and running again. I've finding I'm interested in these older manufacturers Like Varney, Penn Line, etc. and their period engines.

actually, I DID search this Saturday morning, and found several Varney Casey Jones engines, one for parts, the other as an unfinished kit ( no motor, unfortunately ). I may bid on one of those items.

Hi Jerry,
Great project Erich!
I have myself a huge addiction to the Varney Locomotives. If there are any parts you need, I am sure I have them. Can't seem to help/stop myself from buying them every time I see them posted. It is so bad, I even get bummed when I miss a listing without getting a chance to bid on them.
Here is my stash of Varney Locomotives:

This is a picture of one Varney Economy Pacific just like yours:

Need any Lil Joe parts? I have a couple of those too. This seems to be one of the toughest locomotives for me to part with:

For some reason, I can not seem to get the image posting to work for me...??
Let me know if you still need any parts Jerry!
ps: the AMC Gremlin was a pretty cool car.

Hi Gareth, Without adding them as attachments, I can not seem to get them to post. I seem to only be able to post links. It's pretty frustrating. I use the insert image function, but there is something about it I must be missing.

Hey, Stangman :P (OK, to use your real name?
look carefully at the syntax of your file name. Also should have .jpg extension on them.

Are you remembering to click on the blue line that says Insert in Post AFTER you upload it? You can upload it, but then you must click that blue line to actually put it in your post. You'd think it'd do it automatically, but it doesn't.
