The seller was listing the Tyco UP set for another person, who had a serious medical issue and wouldn't be able to deliver the items for shipment to the new owner. Once the medical issue passes, the auction is supposed to resume.

Already 12 bids on that PO and six days to go. The PO has an
iconic remembrance for us who grew up before email and Twitter.
The gantry crane has seven watchers (including me), but no bidders.
The 7 Up has one bid and six days to go.
I was bidding down to the last few seconds on that Good and Plenty. Sometimes I feel like I'm bidding up against a millionaire, for no
matter how I go they are on top with "you've just been outbidded."
I suspect the PO will go for a pretty penny.

Hmmm, interestingly enough...foreign-type model trains really don't interest me...but for those who do like them, it seems there are just as many manufacturers producing models of foreign-trains as there are for American trains.

This is a classic case of "buyer beware", imagine a novice paying the outrageous price for this "Marklin" train set only to wind up with old Marklin track and incompatible Tyco stuff instead.

At least it is marked down from its original price! You can now get a whole 36 percent off!! Even if you consider the value of the Marklin sectional track I doubt the lot is worth anything close to what this auction is asking for. I almost wonder if I should report this to eBay as a fraudulent post? What do you guys think?

$30 for those items. $75 for shipping?? What's he gonna do, send it via Loomis????

Below documents one of my craziest auction encounters on Ebay!
2 weekends ago, due to the fact that I had to go to work, my Mom graciously bid on several auctions for me which were all from the same seller.......She ended up getting them all for the original bid (absolutely no one else bid, except on 1 auction, where a bid had already been placed since the first couple days of its listing.) Final price for all items: $8.48. With shipping: $17.48.
Here's the line-item list of each item and its individual price, after each listing was snagged.
Pair of Autoloaders = only $3.25
Bekins piggyback trailer = $2.25
Rare Yellow Kenworth & UP piggyback trailer = only $1.99
Exxon Triple-Dome tanker = only $0.99.
Although all of the items will need some cleaning, and a few will need minor repair, still, I am astounded at the final price of all items!!! Thanks Mom.
